Part of Modula, an ongoing series of geometric forms built for modular variation

Where Modula 1 builds from a single gesture, this one builds from repetition. Four lobed forms rise and fall across the square, two tall, rounded columns anchoring the outer edges, two shorter arcs meeting at a sharp central point. The whole composition reads like a sequence: tension, release, tension, release, each shape answering the one beside it.

The symmetry is almost architectural, a row of arches, or a reflection folding in on itself, but nothing here is static. The curves swell and taper unevenly, so even with the mirrored structure, the eye keeps moving: up through the tall columns, down into the valleys, back up to the sharp peak at center. It’s rhythm built from geometry alone.

Terraform Green sets a field with its own quiet texture, alive, slightly uneven, never quite flat. Neptune Blue sits inside it with total density and confidence, each arch landing crisp against the green’s softer surface. It’s a cooler pairing than the rest of the series so far, blue and green sitting close enough in temperature that the contrast comes from saturation and weight rather than opposition, the forms feel less like they’re popping forward and more like they’re settling into the field around them.

Hand-pulled, one layer at a time, on 250gsm Lenox 100, printed at the MGC Community Print Studio at PowerHouse Arts in Brooklyn. No two pulls of a silkscreen are ever pixel-identical, each one carries its own trace of the hand that pulled it.
