Dudes — Alive (Blue) on Kraft

Dudes — Alive (Blue) on Kraft

$200.00

Hand-pulled silkscreen, Neptune Blue ink on repurposed kraft paper, 15" x 22”, Edition 1/1. Signed — Rene Juan de la Cruz

This is a pivotal moment in the collection, and in the mission. These aren't just prints. They are the physical proof that the two sides of the practice can merge. The hand-drawn dude, distilled into vector precision, then returned to the human hand through the silkscreen press. Three stages. Three languages. One being.

Alive in Neptune Blue on kraft is the most unexpected version of this being. Cool against warm. Precision landing on a surface that was never made for art, a repurposed everyday object with its own previous life, its fold marks present and visible, its history embedded in the ground before the ink arrived.

The blue holds its architectural clarity even here. One singular face, eyes forward and present. A body built from precise connected lines carrying the full graphic intelligence of a trained designer's hand. An arm suggested by a rectangle with horizontal marks, minimum strokes, maximum meaning. The other arm raised with a circle-tipped finger transmitting upward, not in surrender but in signal. An orbit wrapping the midsection like a belt of energy. Structural legs. Grounded feet landing with intention.

Neptune Blue on brown kraft creates a tension that white cotton rag cannot, the contrast between the cool precision of the ink and the raw warmth of the repurposed surface. The ordinary elevated. The discarded made permanent. One of a kind in every sense.
