Yellow and red don't sit quietly together, they push. Gold Yellow floods the field, wide open and warm, while Mars Red cuts through it with weight and heat. It's a contrast built on temperature as much as tone: one color expands, the other advances. Together they create a kind of visual friction, the yellow gives the letterforms room to breathe, the red refuses to let them fade into the background.

That tension echoes the intent behind The Trixel Alphabet itself: each letter rebuilt on its own terms, some reduced to minimal geometry, others pushed into optical illusion, others left suggestive rather than literal. Red and yellow amplify that approach, loud enough to hold their own against the complexity of the forms, but disciplined to just two inks, so the eye never loses the alphabet in the color. Contrast as clarity, not chaos.

Hand-pulled, one layer at a time, on 250gsm Lenox 100, printed at the MGC Community Print Studio at PowerHouse Arts in Brooklyn, no two pulls of a silkscreen are ever pixel-identical, which is part of why this exists as 1/1. The saturation of the yellow and the density of the red shift slightly with every pass of the squeegee, so this particular sheet carries its own instance of that contrast, unrepeatable.
